About Andrea Scott

My name is Andrea Scott (Ms. Impactor).I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and impressed by the influence it has on people and the decisions they make in life. I love engaging with the projects I work on, diving headfirst into the research, investigation, and production of stories I feel are worth writing about. My inspiration come from my community, family, students, and my dreams.

Meet Our Founder

She created St. Louis’s first black-owned tutoring company, Smile Big Dream Bigger, LLC to help individuals dream bigger. She was raised in a single-parent household with three older siblings, two sisters, and one brother. Education has always been an essential part of her life.

Ms. Scott began teaching at the age of 20 and has over seven years of teaching experience. She has taught every grade level from PreK to college-level courses. Ms. Scott received her Master’s in Teaching in 2016 and is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Leadership and Education. She authored several bilingual children’s books: Smile Big Dream Bigger, The Bigger the Fro, the More I know, and No Limit to Greatness. She noticed how readers used her book as a motivational tool, therefore she decided to create a service, Dream IT to teach the lessons from her book.

Smile Big Dream Bigger is a bilingual educational service that inspires cultural inclusion through grant writing, literature, and tutoring. This company is inspired by the owner, Andrea Scott’s award-winning bilingual children book: Smile Big Dream Bigger which encourages people to learn about different cultures. In addition, you are able to learn a new language, and teach the world to dream.

We create and publish bilingual (English/Spanish) children’s books for grades preschool to high school that depict stories of minority characters who overcome challenges. This company has developed its own academic curriculum, Dream It, which tutors scholars in all general studies, challenges them to learn a new language to decrease the academic achievement gap of African American and English as a Second language scholars.
